Integrated Pest Management

Take Care Termite understands the importance of your family, your home, and your health. We are also conscientious about finding balance between keeping our environment safe and sound, keeping your home free from pest infestations, while at the same time, maintaining the important role of insects in the earth’s eco system. As pest management professionals, we believe it is our duty is to provide you with effective services to protect you from property damage and disease caused by pests.

Being active members of Pest Control Operators of California (PCOC), we are developing Best Management Practices (BMP) through an Integrated Pest Management (IPM) approach.  IPM is a system of controlling pests by combining biological, mechanical, cultural, physical and chemical control methods in a way that minimizes economic, health and environmental risks.  These are steps to this approach:

• Pests are monitored by regular and careful inspections.
• The inspections identify pests and the conditions contributing to the pest problems. Based on the inspection, the technician then decides what actions are necessary.
• The knowledge of the pest’s biology and habits will help in determining what methods or techniques would best control the pests at the lowest potential exposure possible.
• We offer alternative measures or “green” solutions that can provide pest protection by combining prevention and monitoring techniques that minimize the use of chemicals, yet are highly effective.

By implementing Best Management Practices and Integrated Pest Management, our goal is to manage pest infestations using the most economical means with the least possible hazard to people, property, and the environment. These standards will help our industry keep pace with the growing technology of pest control and the increasing understanding of how our industry affects the environment.
